The future destination of GRC follows a journey of convergence. It requires the continuous evolution of technologies, regulations, and corporate culture.
There is no point in undergoing a scenario plan or war-gaming exercise, only for the result to be a lengthy document that is stored in everyone’s cupboards for months or years, and then considered too outdated, complex, or difficult to action when an actual attack occurs.
the next step-change in AI will be reaching the event horizon called Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).It will certainly become a powerful tool in the fight against cybercrime, but the same technology may also become a cyber weapon.

Bio
Tony was born in 1971 amidst the tumultuous atmosphere of Northern Ireland's troubles where early exposures to danger and uncertainty shaped his future as a security consultant. Since the '90s, he assumed a prominent role in the technical world, working with some of the largest and most complex organizations on cybersecurity projects, while also working in writing and the publishing businesses.
Despite his successes in the cybersecurity industry, Tony's passion was writing and over the years he penned hundreds of technical articles, blogs, and a handful of textbooks.
Since 2013 Tony and his family have lived in Western Australia where he currently continues to work as a security consultant and business architect, while also writing fiction. He has a deep love for all forms of media, and in particular has dedicate dmuch of his spare time to exploring 3D art, video game design and animation.
Fascinated by the rapid pace of technological advancements, and the promise of what AI, robotics, quantum computing, and metaverse solutions will do to the way we live and work, Tony's work often envisions near-term possibilties that resonate with his readers.
